Places to go in California If you're in California, you have a multitude of choices for things to do and places to go. No matter what your interests, there is something for everyone. In San Diego, the ocean waves make surfing the big draw. It's also home to the famous San Diego Zoo and Sea World. The world's tallest trees on the North Coast makes for some awesome camping, especially in Yosemite National Park where Redwoods abound.
If solitude is what you crave, Anze-Borrego Desert State Park is the place for you, with over 600,000 acres of virtually nothing. The beach scene is top notch in Orange County. You'll see the Golden Gate Bridge and ride cable cars in San Francisco.
The High Sierra has 3 national forests loaded with lakes and wonderful skiing. The Central Coast has cliffs to view the ocean, small towns to explore, and is the Wine Country serving some of the country's finest wines. You can also climb a volcano, walk the beach, or visit Hearst Castle.
Los Angeles is home to Hollywood, Venice Beach, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, and is the Entertainment Capital of the World. The music is always jammin'. The studios are always filming. While you star watch you can visit Disneyland, Universal Studios and many more theme parks.
Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey is a must see. Take the 17 mile drive along Pebble Beach and Carmel-By-The-Sea. You'll be able to soak in the sun the sky along with legendary scenery.
